Specification

GENERAL : ALFA L.T. Control switches type A-16 are ideally suited for control of industrial motors up to 3 HP for switching operations like starting, reversing, change over etc. The switches are air break, lever operated type. They are compact in size & are capable of rendering an extremely long life of switching cycles.

APPLICATIONS :  These switches are ideally recommended for application in machine tools like lathes, drilling machines. power presses, hacksaws, band saws grinders & many other machines, switch boards, panels etc.

 

CONSTRUCTIONS : The switches are available in sheet metal housing of robust design. All metallic parts inside the switch undergo anti-corrossive process. The sheet metal housing undergoes anti-corrossive treatment followed by glossy, scratch resistant, anti-corrosive colour coating. The bakelite parts are manufactured from most suitable grades of phenol formaldehyde power for optimum strength, life & finish. The switches are available with metallic or bakelite handle as required.

CONTACTS : They are made of 99.99% pure electrolytic cold rolled copper which can withstand considerable overload without overheating. They are cadmium plated. fixed contacts are assembled on the bakelite body and are suitable wired. the moving contacts are contained in the male/female decks. They are very eassy to replace.
TEST : Every switch has to pass through various rigorous test before being okayed. Every switch undergoes high voltage test of 2.5KV RMS for one minute.
